Do You Have Any Giving Goals for the Upcoming Year?
I hope you are able to experience moments of peace, joy, and connection during the holiday season—even if it feels busy or emotional at times. As we step into a new year, I’m feeling inspired and energized, and I’m looking forward to sharing meaningful content with you here on the blog over the coming months.
Over the next few months, I’ll be building my self-care eBook library, along with The Mindful Living Reset, and inviting you behind the scenes as I share the stress management strategies I use with my clients. If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, this content is thoughtfully created to support you. I’m also excited to share that my new Chronic Pain Reset eBook is expected to be released in January—stay tuned!

Spread the Love by Giving to Others
What’s on your agenda for the year ahead? Do you set resolutions or goals for yourself or your business? Personally, I’ve never been a fan of traditional New Year’s resolutions. They’ve always felt overwhelming and hard to maintain. Instead, I focus on small, realistic goals that support my well-being without adding pressure. I began doing this back in September by gently improving my nutrition and movement habits—and it’s been far more sustainable.
This time of year, many people naturally turn inward, focusing on health goals, routines, and self-care. And that’s a good thing. Taking care of yourself matters. As you know, I’m a huge advocate for consistent self-care. But today, I want to shift the focus outward and talk about something just as powerful for your health: giving to others.
I truly believe that one of the most overlooked keys to happiness, emotional balance, and overall health is making a positive impact on someone else’s life.
Giving Is Good for Your Health
Giving isn’t just good for your soul—it’s good for your nervous system, your mindset, and your overall well-being. When we help others, our attention naturally shifts away from our own worries, pain, or stress. This simple shift in focus can reduce anxiety, elevate mood, and remind us that we are connected to something bigger than ourselves.
One of my favorite ways to stay grounded and positive—especially during stressful seasons—is by helping others. This can look like volunteering for a cause you care about, preparing a meal for someone who is struggling, checking in on an elderly neighbor, or simply offering your time and presence to someone who needs to feel seen.
During the holiday season especially, many people are quietly dealing with loneliness, grief, financial stress, or health challenges. A small act of kindness—sending a card, making a phone call, inviting someone for a visit, or listening without trying to fix—can mean more than you realize.
And giving doesn’t have to cost money. You can give freely every day:
- Offer a genuine smile
- Hold the door for someone
- Let someone merge in traffic
- Send an encouraging text
- Speak kindly to yourself and others
These small acts add up and create a ripple effect of positivity—for them and for you.

A Few Gentle Questions to Reflect On
- What talents or strengths do I have that I could share with others?
- Who in my life might need a little extra support or kindness right now?
- How can I give more of my time, presence, or compassion this year?
- What would it look like to make giving part of my wellness routine?
How Do You Want to End This Year—and the Next?
As you think about the year ahead, consider setting giving goals, not just achievement goals. How do you want to feel at the end of this year? More connected? More fulfilled? More at peace?
Even a small commitment to serving others—once a month, once a week, or even once a day—can have a powerful impact on your mental and emotional health. When you give, you create space to step out of your own stress and into purpose, connection, and gratitude.
I promise you this: when you commit to giving, even in the simplest ways, you will feel uplifted—and your own challenges may feel a little lighter.
Why not make giving part of your wellness intention for the year ahead?
Spread the love. It’s one of the healthiest things you can do. 💚
Have a blessed and happy Holiday season and start the new year off with a positive and grateful heart!
xoxo
